The initial socio-economic survey will provide insight into local access to drinking water. A community borehole project for communities that do not have access to safe drinking water sources will be implemented. Should communities already have boreholes in place, the water quality will be tested to ensure that it is fit for human consumption. Moreover, sometimes abandoned or improper boreholes exist that could be rehabilitated. These boreholes should provide access to safe drinking water for humans and with the spill-off, water for livestock.
